What's Included

Forced-regeneration decisions start with fault codes, soot-load information, exhaust temperatures, and aftertreatment-system condition. A forced regen raises exhaust temperature to burn accumulated soot only when those conditions support it.
DPF service separates an ash- or soot-loaded filter from faults in sensors, exhaust leaks, dosing, or regeneration controls. A filter that can be cleaned is evaluated differently from one whose condition points to replacement.
DEF and SCR diagnosis considers DEF quality or contamination concerns, tank and line issues, dosing faults, and NOx- or sensor-related codes.
Derate triage follows the cause behind reduced power rather than treating a cleared warning as the repair.
The work can include reading active and stored codes, comparing the reported symptom with operating information, and identifying the next repair decision.

When a DPF, DEF, or Derate Call Needs a Facility

If we can't fix it where it sits, we'll tell you straight and point you to a tow or facility. After checking the truck, we’ll tell you whether a regen or repair can be done on site or the truck needs a shop.

Service Coverage Area

Mobile aftertreatment service covers Charlotte, Columbia, and the I-77, I-20, and I-26 corridor.

Why Choose Diesel Dudes

Regen Is Not a Shortcut

A forced regeneration is not a reset for every DPF, DEF, SCR, or derate warning. The underlying fault still has to be fixed.

When You Call

Have the truck year, engine, dashboard warning, and active fault codes available. Tell us whether the truck is in derate and where it is safely parked.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can a DPF regen be done on the roadside?

A forced regen may be considered only after diagnostic information supports it and the truck’s conditions allow it. A regen is not a substitute for correcting an underlying system fault.

Does a DPF warning always mean replacement?

No. Diagnostic findings distinguish a filter that may be cleaned from a filter condition that points to replacement, as well as faults outside the filter itself.

Can DEF quality cause a derate?

DEF quality or contamination, delivery problems, SCR faults, and sensor-related codes can all contribute to a warning or derate condition. Diagnosis identifies the cause before the repair decision.

How is mobile aftertreatment work priced?

Aftertreatment service is quoted upfront before work begins. A dispatch fee and a two-hour labor minimum apply; emergency and after-hours calls may carry premium rates.
